The IAC Membership Program The IAC membership program offers individuals the opportunity to express their support of the ideas and ideals of conscientiology by helping the organization in meeting its goals and objectives. This program is available in all IAC offices. In Portugal and Spain, it is available under the IAC cardholders program. Members obtain specific benefits in accordance with the category of membership they select. Benefits common to all categories include: (1) periodical bulletins detailing the organization's work, related news, and forthcoming events; and (2) a subscription to the Journal of Conscientiology, a quarterly scientific forum for the publication of research papers and articles examining a range of themes related to study of the consciousness. Published contributions are made by a broad spectrum of individuals, including IAC researchers and members as well as scientists and researchers affiliated with other organizations around the world. The program offers four membership categories: The Sponsor Member category is aimed at those who wish to make an extra contribution to support IAC’s work. This category provides maximum privileges available, including the above mentioned as well as discounts on courses, seminars, and books published by the IAC and its affiliated organizations, and participation in special meetings (available in some centers). Yearly contribution requested by Sponsor members is US$150.00 (members can donate any additional amount over the basic cost they wish, at their discretion). Major Membership offers those unable to contribute to the same extent as a Sponsor member the opportunity to benefit from exactly the same range of privileges, based on the contribution of a smaller amount. Basic Membership provides a similar range of discounts and subscription to the Journal but excludes participation in the special meetings. The fourth category, Associate Membership, is designed for those who simply wish the subscription to the Journal, without receiving discounts on events and courses. Discounts on IAC publications are available to Associate members.
