Mentalsomatic Gestation
An immersion to assist the development of
conscientiological scientists-researchers-writers
This course is aimed at individuals studying
conscientiology who wish to publish their ideas and the results
of their scientific endeavours.
A variety of strategies are utilized during this four-day immersive
programme, amongst which is the employment of a panel of individuals,
each specialist in a particular area, each presenting their knowledge
whilst participants debate the ideas they have put forward, trying
to implement them whilst the course continues.
The objective of this immersion is to help develop scientists-researchers-writers,
by exposuring them to the shared experience of established researchers,
writers and editors. These discussions aim at describing the typically
unseen components of ‘science’ – the politics
of science, the relationship between researchers and writers, and
the process of entering the scientific community, while focusing
on conscientiologists.
Themes related to the research process and the philosophy of science
are also addressed, going straight to the points that are important
to conscientiological research and investigative processes.
As a result, the core problems associated with the scientific study
of consciousness will be addressed in a demystifying fashion, removing
unnecessary concerns about research and its methodologies. Participants
develop deep familiarity with the critical issues in science as
a whole as well as the methodological and epistemological debates
that characterize scientific knowledge today.
As the most important part of any research is the publication of
results, great emphasis is placed on this subject. During the course,
participants will discuss their ideas (old or new) for papers and
come to a conclusion regarding those that are appropriate to develop
into articles in the present moment. The course also addresses understanding
and initiating the writing process. Journal of Conscientiology editor
Nanci Trivellato and a group of reviewers from the Journal will
follow the work of each participant, dedicating individual attention
to their needs and offering personalized explanations and tips.
Each participant will be able to construct an article which can
be submitted to any scientific periodical.
This immersion course was designed by Nanci Trivellato.
