IIPC Addresses
Editors’ Foreword
The Journal of Conscientiology is an open forum of discussion
which is intended to be an instrument for updating IIPC members,
the general public, and the scientific community on consciousness
research.
This first edition presents us with the glossary
of conscientiological terms and the list of research areas
of conscientiology, which we hope will support and encourage
those who are unfamiliar with the specific terminology of
this science.
We, the editors, find ourselves with a great
challenge when it is necessary to translate the material from
its original source. There is an Italian saying: "tradutori,
traditori" which means: "translator, traitor".
It is a difficult task to translate not only the words but
also the author’s style or tone of the work, especially
in this field. So, one must remember to consider the cultural
differences while reading these texts.
Consciousness, in conscientiology’s
writings, is usually referred to as "the" consciousness.
This is done on purpose, since this word is used to mean the
and not the state of consciousness, as in being aware.
The launching of the Journal of Conscientiology
coincides with the IIPC’s 10th anniversary. During its
first decade the Institute has gathered 99 multidisciplinary
researchers, 197 instructors, and a team of 635 volunteers.
Projectiology was first disseminated to the
public in 1981, when Dr. Waldo Vieira published his first
book, Projections of the Consciousness, on the subject of
out-of-body experiences. Five years later, Vieira published
the result of more than 25 years of research in the scholarly
work Projectiology - An Overview of the Experiences of the
Consciousness Outside of the Human Body. The publishing of
this treatise established the ground for the foundation of
the International Institute of Projectiology in 1988.
Over the last 10 years, IIPC has realized
several major national and international events, beginning
with the First International Congress of Projectiology in
1990. During this period the Institute also published the
scholarly book 700 Conscientiology Experiments and several
other works. In addition, the decade has seen the international
expansion of the Institute, with the establishment of offices
in Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Lisbon, London, Miami, New York,
and Ottawa.
To facilitate and accelerate the research,
in 1995 IIPC started the construction of the Center for Higher
Studies of the Consciousness (CHSC) in Iguassu Falls, Brazil.
The Center will have one of the largest libraries in the world
on the subject of consciousness research. Presently the IIPC
is also investing in the construction of a campus in Rio de
Janeiro, Brazil. The IIPC Campus Project is a result of the
Institute’s focused prioritization on pedagogic work.
It will enhance the consciential programs, reaching the highest
possible number of individuals.
The Journal of Conscientiology will function
as the official means of communication for the sciences of
Conscientiology and Projectiology, linking researchers worldwide.
JC will also disseminate the results of the investigations
performed in the aforementioned research centers.
We invite every reader to participate in this
task by sending ideas, suggestions, comments and submitting
articles.

Cosmogram Technique
Waldo Vieira
ABSTRACT: This article presents the Cosmogram
research technique in a detailed and exemplified manner. The
objective of the Cosmogram is to analyze the Universe based
on the observation of its facts and occurrences. In this analysis,
the researcher uses all instruments accessible through Conscientiology.
These tools are fully available to all consciousnesses who
are lucid in regards to their multidimensional and multiexistential
nature.
e exemplificadamente, a técnica do Cosmograma, cujo
objetivo é analisar o Universo a partir da observação
de seus fatos ou ocorrências. Nesta análise o
pesquisador, ou pesquisadora, lança mão de todos
os instrumentos da Conscienciologia, ferramentas estas plenamente
disponíveis às consciências lúcidas
quanto à multidimensionalidade e multiexistencialidade
de sua natureza.
Waldo Vieira, MD, is the founder and president
of the International Institute of Projectiology and Conscientiology
(IIPC). He has authored several books and has been conducting
research on the consciousness for 40 years. Vieira is the
progenitor of the sciences of projectiology and conscientiology
and has amassed one of the biggest libraries in the world
regarding consciousness research.

An Anthropological Look at Conscientiology
Kim McCaul
ABSTRACT: This article wants to show some
of the complexities related to the creation of intraconsciential
and extraconsciential realities and stimulate the reader to
examine her/his own case. It applies an anthropological/conscientiological
approach, putting particular emphasis on the effects of the
cultural variables both in the creation of knowledge and in
the way knowledge is used, exemplifying this with a look at
the cultural circumstances of Brazil which may have influenced
the arising of the Consciential Paradigm in that country.
o surgimento do Paradigma Consciencial neste país.

El Efecto del Tabaco en la Multiexistencialidad
Sandra Tornieri
Especialidades
De La Concienciologia: Conciencioterapia, Holochakralogía,
Paragenética.
ABSTRACT: The main objectives of this
article are: a) to expose the effects of smoking and their
consequences in the multiple somatic existences of the consciousness;
b) to offer techniques to those who wish to quit smoking;
c) to research cases of smokers and ex-smokers who were already
able to notice the aftereffects of smoking in their current
holosoma.
