Editor’s Foreword


This edition’s opening article by Luisa Fernandes and Nanci Trivellato describes a research project designed for implementation in a specialist projectarium; a laboratory designed to support projective self-experimentation that is planned for construction at the IAC research facility in Portugal. The work includes details of a proposed experiment that researchers hope will reveal further evidences for inclusion in a presentation of research findings to the scientific community at large.
Bernardo Farina shares his views and personal experiences arising form the application of the ‘one more year of life’ technique, wherein the author adopts a posture of having only a single year of intraphysical life remaining. By doing so, the individual substantially increases self-awareness, application of effort and re-prioritisation of life typical of an individual facing such circumstances in reality.
The vibrational state, a technique for energetic self-development is examined in this article by Cesar Iria Machado, who details his ideas regarding its effects including thosenic and physical changes.
Concluding this edition, Kim McCaul reports a mentalsomatic projection in his account that contains details of the pre and post projective periods as well as the experience itself.

Projectarium
Chamber Optimized to support Out-of-body Experiences

ABSTRACT: Describing the design, function and specification of the Projectarium, this article expands upon the concept first proposed by Vieira in 1986 for the construction of a purpose-built laboratory including physical and energetic optimization designed to promote parapsychic and out-of-body experiences. The authors have investigated a wide variety of themes and elements associated with the development of such a laboratory, drawing from existing research from numerous disciplines, before going on to detail their project of research whose aim is to establish the effectiveness of such constructions in promoting parapsychism and the conscious projection. The experimental research design draws on the existence of the Projectarium, planned for construction at IAC Research Campus in Portugal.

SUMARIO: Este artículo detalla y expande la concepción del Proyectarium, propuesta en 1986 por Vieira, el cual consiste en un laboratorio construido con el objetivo de promover y dinamizar las experiencias fuera del cuerpo y las experiencias parapsíquicas en general, con optimizaciones físicas y energéticas. Este trabajo presenta los fundamentos teáticos del Proyectarium, así como la descripción de su diseño, función y especificaciones técnicas. Las autoras investigaron un amplio espectro de temas y elementos asociados al desarrollo de tal laboratorio, compilando investigaciones relacionadas existentes en diversas disciplinas. A partir de esto se realizó la idealización del proyecto de investigación con el objetivo de verificar la efectividad de este laboratorio para producir proyecciones conscientes y experiencias parapsíquicas. El proyecto de investigación experimental se basa en la existencia y uso del Proyectarium, planeado para ser construido en el Campus de Investigación de la IAC en Portugal.

RESUMO:Este artigo detalha e desenvolve a concepção do Projetarium, proposta em 1986 por Vieira, o qual consiste em um laboratório construído visando promover e dinamizar as experiências fora do corpo e experiências parasíquicas em geral através de otimizações físicas e energéticas. Este trabalho apresenta a fundamentação teática do Projetarium, bem como a descrição de seu design, função e especificações técnicas. As autoras investigaram um amplo espectro de temas e elementos associados ao desenvolvimento deste laboratório, compilando pesquisas correlatas existentes em diversas disciplinas. Este estudo culminou na idealização do projeto de pesquisa cujo objetivo consiste na verificação da efetividade deste laboratório para produzir projeções conscientes e experiências parapsíquicas. O projeto de pesquisa experimental baseia-se na existência e uso do Projectarium, a ser construído no Campus de Pesquisa da IAC em Portugal.

Nanci Trivellato is a Linguist and is currently taking a Masters of Science degree in Psychological Research Methods. Trivellato worked for multinationals in Brazil for many years until 1990 when she elected to dedicate herself full-time to conscientiological studies as a volunteer researcher. A researcher and instructor with the IIPC for eleven years, since May 2002 she is part of IAC team being based in London. Trivellato is the co-author of the research survey known as OBE Survey, which to date has recorded the experiences of more than 7,000 individuals. Preliminary results of the survey were presented at the International Forum for Consciousness Research, in Barcelona, in 1999. At the 3rd International Congress of Projectiology and Conscientiology (New York, May 2002) she presented a preliminary analysis of experimental field research “Projective Field”.

Luísa Fernandes has a degree in Geology and is completing her studies towards a Masters degree in Education, specialising in Supervision and Pedagogic Orientation, in the Faculty of Science at the University of Lisbon. She has extensive experience in Education as well as in the area of adult behavioural formation, and part of her work is related with mentoring apprentice teacher. Fernandes has presented her work in some national and international events, including: SPIE Astrobiology Conference in San Diego; NASA Educational Workshops in San Francisco, and the 3rd International Congress of Projectiology and Conscientiology, in New York. For the last 6 years she has been investigating and teaching conscientiology and projectiology. She is currently the director of the IAC Lisbon office.

 


One More Year of Life Technique

A Technique to Develop Mega Self-awareness

ABSTRACT: In this article a presentation and analysis of some results from the One More Year of Intraphysical Life Technique are discussed by the author. This technique (1) facilitates the dynamization of your existential program; (2) potentializes its execution by accelerating some of its stages, or (3) allows a person to get back on track from an ectopic existence to their original existential program objectives. Besides providing technical details that will help the motivated reader to apply this technique in the process of his/her self-research, the author also shares his own experience with this technique in a very frank way so that it may be used as a case study by researchers in this field.

SUMARIO: En este artículo, el autor hace un análisis y presenta algunos resultados a partir de la aplicación de la Técnica de Un Año Más de Vida Intrafísica. Esta técnica posibilita (1) la dinamización de la proexis; (2) la potencialización de su ejecución, acelerando algunas etapas; o, (3) la reconducción de la proexis ectópica hacia los objetivos originales. Más allá de mencionar los dados técnicos para posibilitar a que los lectores motivados la apliquen en su proceso de autoinvestigación, el autor también expone de manera abierta su propia vivencia aplicando de la técnica, de modo a que su experiencia sirva de casuística para estudiosos del área.

RESUMO:Neste artigo, é feita uma análise e apresentação de alguns resultados a partir da aplicação da Técnica de Mais Um Ano de Vida Intrafísica, pelo autor. Esta técnica possibilita (1) a dinamização da proéxis; (2) a potencialização de sua execução, acelerando algumas de suas etapas; ou, (3) a recondução da proéxis ectópica aos seus objetivos originais. Além de mencionar os dados técnicos para possibilitar aos leitores motivados que a apliquem no seu processo de autopesquisa, o autor também expõe de maneira aberta sua própria vivência com a aplicação da técnica, de modo que sua experiência sirva de casuística para estudiosos da área.


Bernardo Farina has been researching conscientiology and projectiology since 1993. He co-founded the Center for Higher Studies of Consciousness of which he was the financial director from 1995 to 1997. In 1999 Farina took over the position of international director with the International Institute of Projectiology and Conscientiology, a position he held until May 2002. Since the inception of the International Academy of Conscientiology in 2000 he has been the organizations’ financial controller.

 


La Práctica del Estado Vibracional

ABSTRACT:The current paper presents a practical fashion for verifying the inseparability of the thosene elements, thoughts, sentiments and energy, in the development of the Vibrational State. The technique is applied with the aim of reaching its control, using initially a conditioning method, until its use is performed in a lucid manner – as a factor proper of our paraphysiology, as natural as the respiration. On the other hand, some considerations regarding the Kryptonite effect are presented, as well as some hypothesis on the fields of Paraperceptiology, Assistentiology and Thosenology are proposed. The author, having applied the technique of the vibrational state on his own, used a self research methodology through self-experimentation

SUMARIO: El actual trabajo presenta una forma práctica de verificar la inseparabilidad de los elementos del pensene pensamiento, sentimiento y energía, en el desarrollo de la técnica del Estado Vibracional. Aplicar la técnica con el propósito de alcanzar su dominio, utilizándose inicialmente un método de condicionamiento, hasta alcanzar su uso de manera lúcida, como un factor propio de nuestra parafisiología, tan natural como la respiración. Por otra parte, se presentan algunas consideraciones en la hipótesis del Efecto de Kriptonita, así como son enunciadas algunas hipótesis en los campos de la Parapercepciología, Asistenciología y Pensenología. La metodología utilizada fue la autoinvestigación a través de la auto-experimentación, aplicando la técnica del estado vibracional por el propio autor.

RESUMO:O presente trabalho mostra uma forma prática de verificação da inseparabilidade dos elementos do pensene, pensamento, sentimento e energia, no desenvolvimento da técnica do Estado Vibracional. Aplicar a técnica com a finalidade de alcançar o seu domínio, utilizando-se inicialmente de um método de condicionamento, até atingir seu uso de maneira lúcida, quanto um fator próprio da nossa parafisiologia, tão natural quanto a respiração. Além disto, são apresentados algumas considerações sobre a hipótese do Efeito Kriptonita, assim como são aventadas algumas hipóteses nos campos da Parapercepciologia, Assistenciologia e Pensenologia. A metodologia utilizada foi da autopesquisa através da auto-experimentação, utilizando-se para isto a aplicação da técnica do estado vibracional pelo próprio autor.

Mentalsomatic Perspective

Pre-projective period

I was taking the second stage of a course in projective techniques at the IIPC’s office in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro. The course took place over four consecutive days from May 11-14, 1998. Ever since the course began I had noticed a difference in my nocturnal perceptions, with more lucid projective experiences. During the course itself, although I had had a sense of having been projected, so far I had not had any experiences I could recall. The last lesson was the technique of projecting with the mentalsoma. There had been three or four students in each of the previous classes but today I was alone with the instructor.
I did not have any expectations and felt calm although with many thoughts relating to my daily life running through my mind. These continued even during the energetic exercises (Basic Mobilization of Energies) preceding the technique. During the absorption of energies, the final exercise before starting the technique itself, I felt a lot of activity in the two superior chakras (frontal and crown) which seemed to form one single chakra, situated more or less half-way between the two. The inside of my head appeared to heat up from the inside out, starting from the pineal gland until the heat focussed itself on this midway point between the chakras. So far I had been sitting and now as I lay down this part of my body remained active. After being talked through the psycho-physiological relaxation I put all my attention into this energetic process, knowing that it was the “entrance” to the mentalsoma.

Projective period

There was no sense of “take off” whatsoever. It merely felt as if the body disappeared and instead I found myself in a vast space, or rather it was I who was vastly spacious, expanded. This occurred without any great sense of ecstasy or even the feeling that this experience was in any way special. It simply felt like a change of environment or better of perception. I felt as if I was looking at my intraphysical life from the outside. From here I saw that all the hazards of life, and all those events which we might call “intrusions” are nothing other than energetic phenomena. This realization made me feel very calm. I wondered how they managed to appear so “real”?
I understood that I was not the person who was having the projection of the mentalsoma, but rather a mentalsoma who was having the experience of being an intraphysical being. In an inversion of the usual perception which sees the ‘I’ going from the intraphysical to engage in extraphysical experiences I saw that in relation to the infinity of the mentalsoma any experiences of the personality with which I was currently identifying myself were merely ephemeral phenomena.
I attempted to understand how the intraphysical experiences of the intraphysical consciousness related to this timeless state of the mentalsoma (i.e. what is the meaning of life?) without succeeding, but also not really caring too much about the answer.

Post-projective period

I had no awareness of any interiorization and no sense of the time that might have passed. When my perception returned to the soma it was rigid, the hands were cold, and balls of hot energy were pulsating in the base of my spine as well as at the top of the head. Now the crown chakra was distinctly active. I spent another ten minutes or so lying there without moving until the instructor gave the command to return to intraphysicality. My mouth was dry and my body felt at the same time rigid and subtle.
The experience had energetic impacts which lasted at least for the subsequent two weeks during which I felt my holochakra expanded and my mind much calmer than usual. It was easy to reestablish an energetic connection with the recently experienced projection and this caused an increase of my intraphysical vibrations. Gradually this faded.


Observations

The experience gave me some insights into a problem I had pondered for a while. Why don’t we manage to live more by the mentalsoma during our day-to-day life? One possible explanation might be the great difference between its reality and our intraphysical needs. The perception of the mentalsoma, when pure or naked, without the interference of denser energies, is so far removed from the needs of our day to day that bringing it into our life would have to be learnt slowly. Put differently, the intraphysical consciousness must be trained to know its own reality without alienating itself from itself, i.e. causing mental imbalances. When healthily balanced however, experiences of the mentalsoma can have profoundly curative and life enhancing capacities as they allow the intraphysical consciousness to act in knowledge of its actual extraphysical origin, thus providing a source of inner freedom and happiness.
