Maturity of Affectivity

This course takes a detailed approach to affectivity, understood in the sense of self and hetero-affection. The following topics are covered within that context: the basis and origin of affectivity; the affectionate-cognitive nature of the consciousness; the evolutionary effects of affectivity; factors that influence affectivity; and diagnostics that reveal one's level of affectivity.

The maturity-of-affectivity model presented is the condition of unrestricted inner well-being, absence of internal conflicts, and complete homeostasis, meaning equilibrium of: one's physical, biological body; one's energetic body, relating to disposition or vitality; one's psychological state, corresponding to emotional balance; and one's mental processing, responsible for clarity and fluidity of reasoning.

The course proposes tools to increase self-knowledge and encourage self-consciential-therapy, presenting original hypotheses about the factors responsible for healthy affectivity. Also presented are techniques to overcome limitations in self-esteem and self-confidence, and to develop and expand the capacity for assisting others.
