Approach

The information and approach offered by IAC is truly without peer. Although other schools and modalities seek to explain energy, psychic abilities, and the evolution of consciousness, only IAC combines all these themes, and many more, into a comprehensive explanatory model that is based on extensive experimentation coupled with scholarly research. Fundamental to that model is the multidimensional perspective and contextual framework provided by the out-of-body experience.

IAC places great emphasis on rationality and objectivity, and encourages students to apply their discernment and critical-thinking faculties. It incorporates a logical, scientific approach whereby the information presented is supported by empirical observations or conclusions based on them.

This emphasis on verifiable findings contrasts with other approaches to consciousness and energy that are based on a set of teachings or perhaps the illuminating experiences or insights of one central figure. IAC is fundamentally opposed to dogma and the elevation of individuals to the status of guru. By contrast, it actively encourages its students to avoid dependency and belief, having a sign in each of its classrooms that reads as follows:

Don't believe in anything.
Not even what you hear at the IAC.
