Privacy Notice & Cookies Policy
At the International Academy of Consciousness (IAC), we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our visitors to our website. In particular, we want you to know that we do not sell, rent or trade email lists with any company for marketing purposes. We hate that sort of thing, so we just don’t do it to our visitors.
Here you’ll find information on how we treat data that we collect from visitors to our website, or when someone subscribes to our newsletter or registers to our events.
Visitors to Our Website
When someone visits www.iacworld.org or any of our subdomains, we use third party services (Google Analytics, Cloudflare) to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. The reason we do this is to find out things such as how many people visit various parts of the website. This information is only processed in a way that does not identify anyone.
We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
To do this, Cookies may also be used and we explain below how Cookies are used on this website. If we need to collect personally identifiable information throughout our website, we will always be upfront about it. We will make it very clear when we collect this type of information, and we will explain what we intend to do with it.
Newsletter Signup
As part of the registration process for our regular newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
We use a third party provider (MailChimp) to deliver our newsletter and confirmation of event registrations. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice.
You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails, or by replying to the email and asking us to remove you from our list. Please note that you may still receive service emails, such as those we send when we must inform you of pending payment, refunds, event attendance confirmation and tickets, links to participate in events / courses you registered for, etc.
Registration Forms
When you register for our events, courses and services you may have to fill in a registration form online. We collect this via a webform hosted by third party providers, Jotform and Google Forms, to efficiently keep records of event registrations or information requests. For more information, please see Jotform’s privacy notice and Google’s privacy policy).
The information collected is always for our internal use and is never, ever, shared with any other company or business for marketing purposes.
Access to Your Personal Information
You are entitled to access the personal information that we hold on you. Please email our Technology team at technology@iacworld.org so they can help you further.

This privacy notice does not cover the links within our sites linking to other websites. Those sites are not governed by this Privacy Policy, and if you have questions about how a site uses your information, you’ll need to check that site’s privacy statement.

Cookies Policy
Like most websites, the IAC uses Cookies throughout our websites to collect information. Cookies are small data files placed in your computer or device (like your phone or tablet) as you browse the website. They are used simply to “remember” when your browser or device accessed our website. They are essential for the effective operation of our websites and help you get the most out of your visit (for example, by not showing you pop-ups that you have seen before so we don’t crowd your screen space unnecessarily).
Some cookies collect information about browsing behaviour when you access this website via the same device or browser. This includes information about pages viewed and your journey around a website. We do not use cookies to collect or record information on your name, address or other contact details. The IAC can use cookies to monitor your browsing behaviour to improve our website for future visitors, for example.
You can find more information about cookies, and how to delete them, at www.allaboutcookies.org and www.youronlinechoices.eu.
